Flora's Hillbilly Cornmeal Gravy
- 2 tbsp of meat drippings (approximately)
- 1/2 cup of cornmeal
- 1 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 salt and pepper to taste.
- Get meat drippings hot in a med-high skillet.
- (I usually do this after frying bacon)
- Put your cornmeal in the skillet and let get a lil brown.
- About 5min.
- Pour in your milk and let it all come up to a bubble and start to thicken.
- If it gets too thick just add a lil more milk.
- This is awesome on biscuits or on fried cornbread.
- But my fave is on fried taters.
- Make your tounge slap ya brain out.
