Nut Goodie Bars
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
- 2 c. peanut butter
- 1/4 c. dry regular vanilla pudding
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. margarine
- 7 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla or maple flavoring
- 1 lb. Spanish peanuts
- Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in double boiler over low heat.
- After melted, put 1/2 of mixture into a greased bun pan larger than 9 x 13-inch.
- Cool this in refrigerator until hard.
- Save the other 1/2 in double boiler for later (no heat now).
- Mix together dry regular vanilla pudding, evaporated milk and margarine.
- Boil 1 minute.
- Add powdered sugar.
- Mix and add vanilla or maple flavoring; stir until blended.
- Spread this over 1st layer.
- Mix Spanish peanuts in
- the mixture in double boiler and spread on top of 2nd layer.
- Store in refrigerator until used.
