Apple Bread A La Horn Of The Moon Recipe
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 2/3 c. honey
- 2 x Large eggs
- 2 c. whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
- 2 Tbsp. lowfat milk
- 3/4 c. minced walnuts, or possibly pecans
- 2 1/2 c. coarsely minced unpeeled apples
- Cream butter and honey.
- Add in Large eggs, then flour, salt, baking pwdr, and lowfat milk, adding nuts and apples last, and mix well.
- Pour into oiled 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or possibly till golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.
- Cold for 10 min in pan, then use a knife around edges to loosen before removing from pan.
- 8 servings.
