An Authentic Pesto Recipe
- 12 x walnuts, shelled
- 2 Tbsp. pine nuts
- 1 tsp coarse salt
- 5 x black peppercorns
- 3 clv garlic
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 3 c. basil leaves
- 4 ounce grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 ounce grated Romano cheese
- 1 c. extra virgin olive oil
- Place all ingredients except 1 c. extra virgin olive oil in food processor and grind very fine.
- Add in remaining extra virgin olive oil and blend a few seconds till very smooth.
