Peppermint Candy Cane Cookies

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  2. Add the egg and both of the extracts.
  3. Mix all dry ingredients and add slowly to butter cream mixture until incorporated.
  4. Fold in crushed candy canes.
  5. Roll into teaspoons size small balls (or any shape you desire).
  6. Bake at 375F for 7- 10 minutes.
  7. Should be light in color with light browning on the edges.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes.
  9. Note: Some of the cookies will have a small pool of harden candy around the cookie.
  10. Carefully peel that off with the cookie and enjoy.
