Best Red Chili Ever Recipe
- 2 lbs. beef stew meat, cut in sm. cubes
- Pepper to taste
- Garlic pwdr to taste
- 3 c. water
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp. bacon grease or possibly lard
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 (28 ounce.) can Las Palmas red chili sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 c. reserved broth
- Salt to taste
- Simmer beef, pepper and garlic pwdr in water till meat is tender, then add in salt to taste.
- Drain meat, reserving broth.
- Heat bacon grease or possibly lard in large skillet; add in flour to make a roux.
- Gradually add in red chili sauce and stir well.
- Add in minced garlic and reserved broth.
- Let simmer 15 min.
- Add in liquid removed meat; simmer 30 min more; salt to taste.
