Beef Spicy Stew (Gulai Lemak) Recipe

  1. Slice beef into rectangular pcs (about 2 1/2- by 2- by 1/2-inches).
  2. Pour a glass of water into the grated coconut.
  3. Squeeze the grated coconut to get the lowfat milk.
  4. Do this for 4 more times so which you will get 5 glasses of coconut lowfat milk out of it.
  5. Grind all paste ingredients.
  6. With medium-high heat, pour 1 Tbsp.
  7. of vegetable oil into a large pan and stir fry the paste till fragrant and then put in salt and pepper.
  8. Put the beef in next and stir.
  9. Last, pour in the coconut lowfat milk and let it cook with medium heat till the beef is tender and the coconut lowfat milk thickened and creates oil.
  10. Ready to serve.
  11. This recipe yields 3 to 4 servings.
