Danish Spice Bars
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon clove
- 12 cup margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 12 cup ground walnuts
- Oven 350* Grease 15x10" pan.
- Melt marg, remove from heat.
- Add sugar and beat until smooth.
- Add sour cream, vanilla and egg.
- Beat smooth.
- Add rest ingredients, stirring in dates and nuts.
- Spread on baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Cool on rack and cut into diamond shapes.
