Blonde Date Nut Bread Recipe

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease (not oil) bottom only of 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  3. In medium bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  4. Beat in Large eggs; blend in buttermilk.
  5. Stir in remaining ingredients just till dry ingredients are moistened.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cold 10 min; remove from pan.
  9. Cold completely.
  10. Makes 1 loaf.
  11. TIP: Self-rising flour is not recommended.
