Orange lavender poached pears
- 2 pears, peeled
- 1 cup Orange juice
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1 peel from Orange
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 3 tbsp lavender
- 1 mint
- Add all ingredients other than pears and mint to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Stir mixture to dissolve sugar completely.
- Add pears and lower heat.
- Simmer for 45 minutes, turning pears as needed to ensure even cooking and coating.
- Remove pears carefully and set aside.
- Remove lavender and other spices by straining liquid.
- Continue to cook and reduce sauce until thick enough to coat back of spoon.
- Pour sauce over the pears and garnish with mint.
