Bavarian Apple Torte Recipe
- 1/2 c. Soft butter
- 1/3 c. Granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla
- 1 c. All purpose flour
- 1/4 c. Raspberry jam
- 2 pkt (250 g) cream cheese at room temperature
- 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 x Large eggs
- 3/4 c. Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 8 c. Apple slices
- 1 c. Sliced almonds BASE:
- With Christmas soon upon us I thought it would be nice to post some of my favorite cheesecakes all taken from my Simply Delicious cooking 2 cookbook.

- Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla, add in the flour and mix well.
- Press into the bottom of a 10" spring form pan.
- Spread the crust with jam.
- FILLING: Beat the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla till smooth.
- Add in the Large eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Pour proportionately over jam.
- TOPPING: Combine sugar and cinnamon, toss with sliced apples and spoon over cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle with almonds and bake in a preheated oven at 350 F (180 C) 75 min or possibly till golden brown.
- Refrigerate8 hrs.
