Bavarian Apple Torte Recipe

  1. With Christmas soon upon us I thought it would be nice to post some of my favorite cheesecakes all taken from my Simply Delicious cooking 2 cookbook.

  3. Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla, add in the flour and mix well.
  4. Press into the bottom of a 10" spring form pan.
  5. Spread the crust with jam.
  6. FILLING: Beat the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla till smooth.
  7. Add in the Large eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  8. Pour proportionately over jam.
  9. TOPPING: Combine sugar and cinnamon, toss with sliced apples and spoon over cream cheese layer.
  10. Sprinkle with almonds and bake in a preheated oven at 350 F (180 C) 75 min or possibly till golden brown.
  11. Refrigerate8 hrs.
