Glazed Apple Dumplings Recipe

  1. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt.
  2. Add in cheese.
  3. Cut in shortening till mix resembles coarse meal.
  4. Add in gradually cream and mix lightly with fork.
  5. Form into a ball.
  6. Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  7. Cut into ten 6 inch rounds.
  8. Pare apples; slice thin.
  9. Place apple slices on each round dough.
  10. Sprinkle each round with a Tbsp.
  11. of sugar and 1/8 tsp.
  12. nutmeg.
  13. Moisten edges of dough; bring edges together and seal at top.
  14. Place in 15x10x2 inch pan.
  15. Pour 1/2 c. lowfat milk and 1/4 c. water over dumplings.
  16. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 min.
  17. Serve with hot brown-sugar sauce.
