Sweet & Salty Popcorn

  1. Measurements are approximate.
  2. Use the quantities on your package of popcorn.
  3. Adjust salt and sugar to your taste.
  4. Heat oil over medium high heat until shimmery in a 2 quart, heavy pot.
  5. (Make sure the pot has a lid!
  6. ).
  7. Add popcorn kernels to pan and put lid on.
  8. Shake pan periodically until popping comes nearly to a stop.
  9. Remove pan from stove.
  10. Transfer popcorn to a big bowl, sprinkle on salt and sugar.
  11. Toss carefully, or put a lid over the bowl and shake.
  12. Enjoy!
  13. Variation: leave out the salt and toss in a tablespoon of cocoa powder!
