Mashed Potatoes

  1. Cover potatoes with salted water and boil until tender, about 20 minutes.
  2. Drain in a colander set over a bowl, reserving cooking liquid, and return potatoes to pot.
  3. Mash potatoes with 1 1/4 cups cooking liquid and sour cream.
  4. Season with nutmeg and salt and pepper.
