'V' walnut cake
- 100 grams margarine
- 75 grams caster sugar (or granulated)
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 2 medium eggs
- 150 grams self raising flour
- 2 tbsp milk
- 50 grams walnuts (whole ones for top)
- cream margerine, sugar and syrup until light and creamy
- beat in the eggs with a little flour
- gradually add remaining flour, milk and nuts.
- place mixture into greased and floured 18 cm cake tin
- bake in a moderate oven 180C, 350F for about 1 hour
