Basmati Italiano Recipe
- 2 c. basmati, (white or possibly brown) cooked according to package instructions
- 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp. dry basil, (or possibly one bunch fresh minced)
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt, optional
- 2 x cloves chopped garlic, to taste
- 4 ounce sliced black olives, liquid removed
- 3/4 c. sun-dry tomatoes, rehydrated and minced
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil, optional
- Put cooked basmati into large mixing bowl.
- Toss warm rice with remaining ingredients using wooden spoons to avoid breaking grains.
- Serve immediately.
