Light Chocolate Almond Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cream shortening, sugars, eggs, milk and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until creamy, about 1 minute.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  4. Add to creamed mixture.
  5. Beat at low speed until blended.
  6. Stir in chips and nuts.
  7. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Cool slightly.
  10. Remove to cooling rack.
