Roasted Sweet Onions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Cut a thin slice off the root end of each onion so it stands flat.
  3. Put two perpendicular cuts into each onion (as though you were going to cut it into quarters), but only cut 3/4 of the way down, leaving the root end intact.
  4. Place each onion on a piece of aluminum foil big enough to wrap it completely.
  5. Place a bouillon cube into each onion.
  6. Top each with one clove of garlic (about 1/2 tsp) and butter.
  7. Sprinkle with pepper and paprika, then wrap foil tightly.
  8. Roast in preheated oven 30-40 minutes.
