My Family's Soy Milk Hot Pot
- 500 ml Water
- 1 piece Kombu for dashi stock
- 500 ml Soy milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Weipa or dashi stock
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Miso
- 1 block Tofu
- 300 grams Pork belly
- 1/3 Chinese cabbage
- 1 Ingredients of your choice - Japanese leek, carrot, etc.
- Put the water and kombu in a pot and place it on the heat.
- Remove the kombu just before it starts to boil, and add the soy milk and the ingredients marked .
- Turn the heat on again (we eat the kombu as well, so we keep it in.
- When it has come to the boil, add the other ingredients, and let them cook through to finish.
- The pork is nice with a sprinkle of salt.
