Scallops With Mushrooms

  1. Preheat oven to 450F
  2. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Saute mushrooms and onion 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally until onion is softened.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in remaining ingredients, half the remaining butter and salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, to taste.
  7. Mix thoroughly.
  8. Place in a buttered shallow casserole.
  9. Melt remaining butter and drizzle over top.
  10. Bake 10 minutes.
  11. Turn on broiler.
  12. Broil 2 minutes until browned.
  13. Serve immediately.
