Easy Baked Mac & Cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Boil elbow noodles for approx.
  3. 9-10 min or until al dente.
  4. While noodles are cooking, shred cheddar cheese.
  5. Melt butter in saucepan and add flour, mustard powder, hot sauce, salt & pepper.
  6. Let bubble, while stirring for 2-3 min.
  7. Add milk and half & half to saucepan while stirring.
  8. Once milk sauce has become warm, put 2 sticks worth of cheese (16oz) in milk mixture and stir
  9. Drain noodles and return to pot.
  10. Add cheese sauce to noodles.
  11. Add mac & cheese to ungreased 13x9 baking dish.
  12. Bake mac & cheese for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
  13. While baking macaroni, cook bacon slices and once cooled, crumble bacon, set aside.
  14. Remove from oven and sprinkle last stick of cheese on top, followed by crumbled bacon.
