Teri's Chocolate Crack Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In a large mixing bowl
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  4. In a small bowl
  5. Combine eggs and vanilla
  6. Mix together with a fork
  7. Slowly add eggs/vanilla mixture to butter/sugar mixture
  8. Beat for 1 to 2 minutes on medium speed
  9. In small mixing bowl
  10. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt - stir together well
  11. Alternate mixing in the water and flour mixture to wet ingredients (Lg bowl)
  12. Mix in walnuts and chocolate chips
  13. Pour batter into 2 round greased and floured cake pans
  14. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes
  15. When toothpick comes out clean it is done
  16. Cool for 10 minutes
  17. Remove from pans
  18. Completely cool on wire racks
  19. Frost with Emmes Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
  20. Enjoy
