Simple and Authentic Miso Ramen Soup

  1. Boil water in a pot.
  2. Grate the garlic.
  3. Add all condiments into the pot and bring to a boil.
  4. Done.
  5. Serve with toppings of your choice.
  6. Sprinkle in hot pepper flakes if you like it spicy.
  7. Here, I used stir-fried bean sprouts and ground beef for topping.
  8. It's easy, inexpensive, and instant.
  9. This is how I serve it regularly.
  10. Make sure to season lightly with salt and pepper when stir-frying.
  11. Adding lard is optional, but it's essential if you like it rich.
  12. You could use ginger for topping as well, just like at "Saimi," the famous ramen shop in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
