Kasha Varnishkes

  1. Cook pasta as directed on package.
  2. Meanwhile, mix kasha and egg white in medium bowl until blended.
  3. Heat large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat.
  4. Add kasha mixture; cook 3 minutes or until grains have separated and dried out, stirring frequently.
  5. Add butter; stir until melted.
  6. Add onion; cook 3 minutes or until onion is crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
  7. Add chicken broth, 1/2 cup water and dressing mix; bring to boil.
  8. Cover.
  9. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until kasha is softened.
  10. Remove from heat.
  11. Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
  12. Stir in cooked pasta.
  13. Sprinkle with parsley.
