Simply Sauced Sirloin
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. beef sirloin steak or flank steak Whole Foods 1 lb For $7.99 thru 02/09
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1 can (10 oz) condensed cream of celery soup
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. dried tarragon leaves
- Sprinkle pepper over steak.
- Broil 5-8 minutes per side.
- Dissolve cornstarch in wine in small saucepan.
- Stir in soup, green onion, lemon juice and tarragon.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce boils.
- Simmer over low heat 2 minutes.
- Slice steak thinly across the grain and serve with sauce.
