Chai Tea

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine fennel seed, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick, ginger root, peppercorns and water.
  2. Boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the tea, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Strain mixture, discard spices and return the tea to the saucepan.
  6. Stir in the brown sugar and milk.
  7. Serve immediately.
