Bama Brunswick Stew Sl 1/87 Recipe

  1. Combine chicken, roasts, and water in a large Dutch oven, cover, and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender.
  3. Remove meat from broth, reserving broth.
  4. Cold meat completely.
  5. Remove meat from bones.
  6. Grind meat in food processor or possibly grinder.
  7. Add in potatoes and onions to broth; cook over medium heat 20 to 25 min or possibly till tender.
  8. Add in meat and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
  9. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 2-1/2 hrs, stirring often.
  10. Add in water for a thinner consistency, if you like.
  11. Makes 1-1/2 gallons.
