Berrach (German Recipe) Recipe

  1. Fry onions and hamburger in a heavy skillet or possibly Dutch oven for a few min before adding cabbage.
  2. Add in cabbage, season and simmer slowly for 20 min.
  3. When done, remove from heat and cold slightly.
  4. Prepare warm roll mix on a slightly floured board, roll dough to a thin sheet (1/4-inch thick).
  5. Cut into 6 squares; on each square put a heaping Tbsp.
  6. of filling.
  7. Bring the four corners together and healthy pinch openings closed.
  8. Lay on a shallow greased pan or possibly cookie sheet.
  9. Bake at 400 degrees.
  10. When done, turn berrachs over and brush with melted butter.
  11. Serve hot.
