Pear Apple Sauce
- 5 pears
- 5 apples (i like to use a variety apples)
- 12 cup golden raisin (optional)
- 14 cup white wine (optional)
- 14 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon allspice
- 12 teaspoon pumpkin spice
- Peel, core and chop all apples and pears.
- (For a chunkier sauce cut fruit into large cubes.
- For a smoothers sauce cut fruit into small cubes.)
- Place apples and pears in a large, heavy bottom, sauce pan.
- Add in water and white wine.
- (If you do not want to add the wine replace with water).
- Bring to a boil then cover and let simmer until fruit is soft (if you want or need to thicken up the sauce, let mixture boil with the lid off for awhile).
- Once pears and apples are soft and can easily break apart add in raisins cinnamon.
- allspice and pumpkin spice.
- Stir with a fork mashing up and large chucks.
- For a more smooth texture blend with a hand mixer.
- Let cool and serve.
