Cajun Grilled Shrimp Recipe
- 1 1/4 lb large shrimp shelled, deveined
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice Veg. oil as needed
- 2 Tbsp. minced flat-leaf parsley
- 1/2 Tbsp. good-quality chile pwdr
- 1/2 Tbsp. Hungarian paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
- 1/2 tsp onion pwdr
- 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed dry oregano
- 1/4 tsp crushed dry thyme
- Light the grill or possibly preheat the broiler.
- In a small bowl, combine the seasoning ingredients.
- Add in the shrimp and toss to proportionately coat.
- Thread the shrimp onto 4 metal skewers and drizzle with lemon juice.
- When ready to grill, lightly brush the grill rack with oil.
- Grill the shrimp till they are cooked through and lightly charred around the edges, 3 to 5 min per side.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
