Classic Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. In large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs; beat well.
  3. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
  5. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
  8. About 5 dozen cookies.
