Banana-Walnut Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Mix flour, wafer crumbs, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  3. Beat margarine and sugar in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy.
  4. Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
  5. Blend in bananas.
  6. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
  7. Stir in 1/2 cup of the walnuts.
  8. Pour into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup walnuts.
  10. Bake 1 hour 10 min.
  11. or until wooden toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.
  12. Cool in pan 10 min.
  13. ; remove to wire rack.
  14. Cool completely.
