Pork Chops with Pan Apple Sauce
- 2 whole Pork Chops
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Mrs Dash Seasoning
- 4 ounces, weight Apple Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Apple Vinegar
- 4 ounces, fluid White Wine (I Used A Reisling)
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- NOTE: A stovetop smoker is the preferred method of cooking for this recipe.
- But you can use an oven if you dont have a smoker.
- Pour the oil into a skillet and get it screaming hot.
- It should get shimmery.
- Sprinkle the Mrs.
- Dash on both sides of the pork chops to taste.
- (I actually used the store brand of this and it is just as good.)
- Sear the chops.
- (I did about 4 minutes on each side.)
- Remove the chops from the skillet and pop them in the smoker for 20 minutes (I used hickory chips.)
- You could also finish them in an oven if you dont have the smoker.
- A 350F degree oven for about 10 minutes should work.
- But really, you should invest in the smoker, it is so good.
- Pull them out and set them aside to rest.
- Take the pan drippings, the apple sauce, the vinegar and the wine and combine them in a small saucepan.
- Reduce by half.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Plate your chops and pour the sauce over them.
- Its so yum.
