Nearly Fruit Almost Cake Recipe

• 1 pound walnut meat
• 1 pound pitted dates
• 2 c. maraschino cherries, liquid removed
• 3/4 c. flour
• 3/4 c. sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 3 Large eggs, beaten till frothy
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Don't CUT UP walnuts, dates and cherries, just combine in a large bowl.
2. Sift together dry ingredients, add in to fruit mix, stir in.
3. Add in vanilla to Large eggs, pour over mix and blend till all dry ingredients are wet and coated.
4. Use WELL GREASED angel food cake pan (tube pan which comes apart).
5. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 min.
6. Don't TEST.
7. Cold 10 min (or possibly so).
8. Take apart while still hot.
9. Cold on rack.
10. WRAP TIGHTLY, chill; keeps for weeks.
