Sausage Cheese Grits Recipe
- 1 pound warm bulk sausage
- 1 c. quick cooking grits
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 c. boiling water
- 1 stick butter
- 1 (6 ounce.) roll garlic cheese
- 2 Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk, approximately
- Cook sausage in skillet till brown, drain on paper towel and set aside.
- Add in salt to boiling water and stir in grits.
- Cook according to package directions.
- Add in 1 stick butter and the roll of garlic cheese to warm grits.
- Put beaten Large eggs into a measuring c. and fill with sufficient lowfat milk to make 1 c.. Add in to grits mix and place in a buttered 2 qt casserole.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Dust top with paprika before serving.
- Serves 6 to 8.
