Pettus surprise
- 1 stick butter
- margarine
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- pecans
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Cool Whip
- 1 cup 4X
- 10X sugar
- Blueberry pie filling
- cherry pie filling
- Crumble butter, flour and nuts together.
- Press into an oblong casserole dish.
- Bake at 325F for 20 to 25 minutes (until pretty and light brown); cool completely.
- Mix cream cheese and Cool Whip, and spread out on cooled crumb layer.
- Chill for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Spread one can of pie filling over cream cheese mixture.
- Cover pie filling with remainder of container of Cool Whip and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Refrigerate.
