Syrupy and Warming- Hot Brown Sugar and Ginger Drink
- 1 tsp plus Grated ginger
- 3 heaping teaspoons Katakuriko
- 2 tsp plus Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Water
- 120 ml Boiling water
- Use small teacups or mugs.
- Add about 1 heaping teaspoon of katakuriko.
- 2 heaping teaspoons become thick like Step 7.
- 3 heaping teaspoons results in a sticky mixture.
- Add brown sugar and ginger.
- Add the water and dissolve.
- Add the boiling water and mix with a spoon.
- You may be concerned that it won't thicken at this point.
- Don't worry, it will.
- Mix well for 10 seconds, and it will thicken and become syrupy.
- Done!
- If it doesn't thicken though, microwave for 30 seconds until it become syrupy.
- If you add 2 heaping teaspoons of katakuriko, it'll become thick enough to eat with a spoon.
- With 3 heaping teaspoons, it'll become like a hot ginger dessert.
