Low-Fat Microwave Tex-Mex Turkey Chili
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) can no salt added tomato sauce
- 1 (10 oz.) can no salt added tomatoes and green chiles (undrained)
- 2 c. red kidney beans, cooked
- 2 c. ground turkey, cooked
- 3/4 c. water
- Combine onion, garlic and oil in 2-quart glass measure.
- Cover with plastic wrap; microwave on High 3 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring every minute.
- Add chili powder and next 4 ingredients.
- Stir well.
- Microwave, uncovered, on High 6 to 9 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring every 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; stir well.
- Microwave, uncovered, on High 6 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
