Chocolate Chunk Soda Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Stir together all ingredients except buttermilk in a medium bowl.
  3. Add buttermilk; blend with a fork until well mixed.
  4. Place dough on floured board and knead for 2 minutes or until smooth, using additional flour as needed.
  5. Shape dough into a 6-inch round and place on prepared baking sheet; let rest for 10 minutes.
  6. With a sharp knife, slash a cross on the top of the loaf.
  7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
