Feelin' Good Chicken Soup
- 48 ounces chicken broth (I prefer boxed Swanson broth)
- 6 ounces chicken breasts (I use pre-cooked canned or grilled lunch meat, but you can cook your own)
- 1 12 cups cooking sherry
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground sage
- 1 tablespoon minced onion (I prefer to use the dried kind in a bottle)
- In a large saucepan, pour in the chicken broth and cooking sherry and put on high heat.
- Chop the chicken breast into small chunks and add to the broth.
- If the chicken is not pre-cooked, boil the chicken until it is done.
- Stir in the garlic powder, ground sage, and minced onion.
- Reduce heat once the soup comes to a rolling boil.
- Let the soup simmer for five minutes, and remove from heat.
