Penne a La Whiskey
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 10 -12 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium celery rib, minced
- 2 cups whiskey
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 4 cups shredded American cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- Boil pasta according to instructions on package.
- Drain and set aside.
- Melt butter in a large skillet.
- Whisk in flour.
- Saute garlic and celery until tender about 10 minutes.
- Pour in whiskey and buttermilk.
- Let reduce for 5 minutes then add cheese.
- Once cheese is melted, stir in pasta and serve.
