Easy Three-Bean Beef Stew

  1. Brown cubed steak pieces in butter in Dutch oven over medium hat.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, with their liquid, consumme, water, barley, onion, salt, marjoram and thyme.
  3. heat to boiling, reduce heat.
  4. cover and simmer 50 min.
  5. Stir in lima beans and green beans.
  6. Heat to boiling.
  7. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 min.
  8. Stir in butter beans.
  9. Cover and simmer 10 min.
  10. Sprinkle each serving with cheese.
