Really Rockin' Refrigerator Cookies

  1. Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the flour, and mix well.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, and form each portion into a log 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Roll 2 logs in the red sprinkles and 2 in the green sprinkles, pressing them onto the sides.
  5. Chill the logs for an hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  7. Cut the rolls into 1/2 inch thick slices, and place the slices on ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake until the cookies are golden, 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Cool the cookies on wire racks.
