Italian Skillet
- 1 loaf French Bread
- Butter, To Spread On Bread
- 1 pound Italian Sausage
- 1 pound Zucchini
- 6 ounces, weight Onion
- 1 can (14.5 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes And Green Chilies
- 1/4 teaspoons Each Of Oregano, Garlic Salt, Sugar, Basil And Pepper
- 4 Tablespoons Italian Bread Crumbs
- Slice French bread and spread with butter.
- Wrap in foil and put in the oven at 350 degrees F until toasted.
- Slice sausage, remove casing and brown in a skillet.
- Slice zucchini and onions.
- Remove sausage and drain on paper towels.
- Brown zucchini and onions in the sausage drippings.
- Add tomatoes and green chilies, oregano, garlic salt, sugar, basil and pepper.
- Stir to mix.
- Sprinkle Italian bread crumbs on top of the zucchini mixture.
- Arrange sausage on top of the bread crumbs.
- Cover and cook 10 minutes until zucchini is tender.
- Serve with hot bread.
