Double-Decker Sliders with Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Sauce
- Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Sauce
- 1-1/2 qt. OPEN PIT Original Restaurant Recipe Barbecue Sauce
- 3 cups roasted red peppers, pureed
- 1 Tbsp. Hot smoked paprika
- Sliders
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- red bell peppers, cut into rings Target 1 pkg For $2.99 thru 02/06
- yellow onions, sliced, separated into rings
- 144 each lean ground beef, shaped into 1.5-oz. patties
- 72 each unsplit slider buns, cut horizontally into thirds
- 72 slices smoked cheddar cheese, cut into 1-oz. slices
- Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Sauce: Mix ingredients in saucepan; cook on medium heat 15 min., stirring occasionally.
- Sliders: Melt butter in saute pan.
- Add pepper rings and onions; saute until tender.
- Cook meat patties until medium (160 degrees F) or desired doneness.
- Set aside.
- For each 3-serving portion: Spread 1 Tbsp.
- Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Sauce onto bottom of each of 3 buns.
- Top each with 1 burger, 1 cheese slice and middle section of bun; spread with additional 1 Tbsp.
- pepper sauce.
- Cover each with second burger, 2 oz.
- cooked vegetables and top of bun.
- Secure with toothpicks.
