Double-Decker Sliders with Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Sauce

  1. Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Sauce: Mix ingredients in saucepan; cook on medium heat 15 min., stirring occasionally.
  2. Sliders: Melt butter in saute pan.
  3. Add pepper rings and onions; saute until tender.
  4. Cook meat patties until medium (160 degrees F) or desired doneness.
  5. Set aside.
  6. For each 3-serving portion: Spread 1 Tbsp.
  7. Fire-Roasted Red Pepper Sauce onto bottom of each of 3 buns.
  8. Top each with 1 burger, 1 cheese slice and middle section of bun; spread with additional 1 Tbsp.
  9. pepper sauce.
  10. Cover each with second burger, 2 oz.
  11. cooked vegetables and top of bun.
  12. Secure with toothpicks.
