Mexican Style Steak Recipe
- Round steak
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 clove garlic (or possibly garlic pwdr)
- 1 c. minced onion
- 1 (4 ounce.) can green chilies
- 1 (30 ounce.) can tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Cut steak into serving pcs, flour, salt and pepper; brown.
- Salsa: Heat oil quite warm.
- Add in garlic and onions; brown.
- Blend tomatoes and chilies.
- Add in to onion and garlic along with salt.
- Simmer uncovered 30 min, stirring often.
- Pour 1/2 of salsa over browned steak.
- Cover and bake at 300 degrees for 2 hrs.
- Serve remaining salsa over rice or possibly freeze to use on another steak.
