Marinated Beans Recipe
- 1 lg. (12 ounce.) can of Stokely's string beans, liquid removed
- 1 sm. (8 ounce.) can English peas (liquid removed)
- 2 sm. onions, sliced in rings
- 2 stalks (stringed) celery (minced per stalk)
- 1 sm. jar of pimiento (liquid removed)
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 c. vinegar, white
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. water
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- Combine salad oil, vinegar, sugar, water, salt, pepper and garlic in broiler and bring to a boil stirring well.
- Set aside and cold.
- In layers place beans, English peas, onions, celery and pimento in tupperware.
- After liquid has cooled.
- Pour over beans, etc.
- Place lid on tightly.
- Chill and keep at least three days before eating.
- The longer it sits the better it tastes.
- A couple of times each day, remove from refrigerator and turn up side down over the kitchen sink.
- Which mixes everything beautifully.
- So good and tasty, goes well with everything.
