Tomato Swiss Steak
- 2 lbs beef round steak
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups sliced onions
- 2 cups baby carrots
- 1 (10 ounce) can beefy mushroom soup
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Cut steak into serving sized pieces.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place steaks in slow cooker and cover with onions.
- Place carrots over beef and onions.
- Combine soup, tomato sauce and sugar.
- Pour over carrots.
- Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours.
- Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool.
- Place in freezer bag.
- Label and freeze.
- To serve: thaw.
- Heat until steaks are hot and gravy is hot and bubbly.
- Serve over rice, noodles or potatoes.
