Imitation Crab and Potato Balls
- 3 Potatoes
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko
- 1 tsp Sugar (optional)
- 1 slice Cheese (easy melting)
- 40 grams Imitation crab sticks
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 Mayonnaise
- 1 Butter or margarine
- 1 Parsley, powdered cheese
- Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces.
- Put them in a heat-proof vessel and cover loosely with plastic wrap.
- Finely mince the imitation crab.
- Roughly dice the cheese.
- Transfer the potatoes into a mixing bowl and mash them.
- Add in the ingredients and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Form the mixture into bite-sized balls.
- Lightly coat with butter and line up on a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
- Create a small dent on the top of each ball by pressing it with your finger, and add a dollop of mayonnaise to the indent.
- Before baking, the balls should look like this.
- Put in the toaster oven to cook until the outside is well browned.
- (About 7 minutes)
- When they are cool enough to handle, transfer the potato balls onto a plate.
- (If you move them too quickly, while they are still very hot, they will loose their shape).
- Garnish with powdered cheese or parsley.
