Crouton Chicken Bake
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 2 whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, Split
- 2 dashes Mrs Dash Seasoning, Pepper And Oregano, For Sprinkling On The Chicken
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 package Seasoned Croutons, 5 Ounce Package (get The BIG Croutons Not The Little Ones)
- 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Chicken Soup
- 3/4 cups Chicken Broth
- Heat a large skillet on medium heat and add a couple tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- Season the chicken with the pepper, Mrs.
- Dash and the oregano.
- Dredge the chicken in the flour.
- Fry in the hot oil until golden brown on each side (you dont have to cook them all the way through youll cook them more in a minute).
- Place the croutons in a lightly greased deep 3 quart baking dish.
- I used multi-grain croutons, I thought they would hold up better.
- They need to be the BIG sized croutons too, the little ones wont work.
- Arrange the chicken on top of the croutons.
- Whisk together the Cream of Chicken soup and the chicken broth and pour over the chicken and croutons.
- Bake uncovered at 375F for 45 minutes or until the chicken is fork tender.
